Job description:
- Prepare local assortment selection and buying;
- Define appropriate product mix, ensuring a balanced in-store merchandise that is in line with company strategy and market needs;
- In-season product monitoring and actions by sell-thru analysis and constant market research;
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the Duthc and Belgian market and fashion trends. Communicate market and trend information to office, stores and Head Quarter’s Retail Merchandising and Brand departments;
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of, and alignment to, the brand; design ethos, brand positioning and evolution, collection themes and structures;
- Understand and consistently work to achieve company financial objectives;
- Develop seasonal store-specific assortments from the collection to address the brand-positioning opportunities and business needs of each location;
- Work with wholesale team to develop a cohesive collection to address the shared and distinct needs of both channels;
- Create and enter purchase orders in accordance with company procedures and deadlines. Work with production and customer service in Head Quarters to follow up on orders and product flow;
- Utilize company selling and inventory reports weekly to monitor business and identify opportunities to maximize net sales and full-price sell through;
- Work with planning in-season to manage Open to Buy and provide sales and inventory trend feedback weekly;
- Provide sales-trend feedback to Planning during the preparation of seasonal merchandise plans;
- Work with Visual Merchandising to support brand positioning, collection/assortment structure and full-price selling through product presentation;
- Work with Operations to support brand positioning, collection/assortment structure and full-price selling through product training materials, seminars and sales contests and incentives;
- Recommend and implement in-season reorders or transfers to increase net sales and full-price sell-thru;
- Recommend and implement in-season and end-of-season markdowns to increase net sales and achieve markdowns budgets;
- Has contact with Licencee firms;
- Manager and inspirator of the Buyer, Planner and Retail-Services coordinator;
- Contact with wholesale and Custormerservice-departments in both the Netherlands and Belgium.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Excel, Word, Retail Pro, Stealth, Oracle;
- Good knowledge of the English language;
- Single brand- Concept-thinking;
- Fashion(trends) knowledge and affinity;
- Job requires intensive traveling and occasional working in evenings and weekends;
