Functie-omschrijving
Objective: Overall responsibility for day to day concessions activities including the management of the sales, operations, visual merchandising and team of the concessions to ensure maximum profitability and the development and implementation of excellent customer service and client relations standards throughout the team.

Key responsibilities
Sales Generation
- Achievement of sales goals; setting realistic yet stretching targets for self & team
- Maximise selling during heavy traffic periods
- Maintain adequate sales floor supervision
- Take action to correct negative sales trends
- Act on slow sellers and arrival of new stock though strategic merchandising
- Communicate sales performance for all locations
- Adhere to all corporate customer service policies, making sure that this is up-kept for all locations.
- Identify and act on replenishment and re-order needs with the company.
Store Presentation
- Ensure exceptional visual standards & store presentation at all times
- Adhere to Company dress code at all times acting as an Ambassador for the brand and maintain the same standards within the team.
- Maintain standards of cleanliness and organisation
- Set-up and revise merchandise presentation as necessary
- React to sell through when required, find solutions for slow sellers
Operations
- Ensure optimum staffing levels to meet the needs of the business, partnering with the company’s Retail Operations Manager to achieve these levels
- Motivate and train all Sales Associates
- Motivate the team in achieving targets through skill and product development, link selling and after sales service
- Drive sales associates to ensure clienteling is kept to the company’s standard and sales are driven through this
- Compile and monitor customer profiles
- Supervise any promotional events
- Partner with the company’s Retail Operations Manager and Merchandise Coordinators to attend to any stock issues and deliveries
- Forward planning on deliveries, events and seasonal change-overs
- Send Weekly Reports on sales figures, performance (top and slow sellers etc), store activities, and other relevant information / feedback to the company’s Retail Operations Manager
Talent Management
- Responsible for the recruitment, selection, supervision and development of staff & funded staff
- Reviews and selects all individuals for store positions at all levels within the corners
- Coach and mentors staff to maximize sales
- Directs the orientation and training of all new funded staff
- Uses succession planning for current and future positions
- Evaluate staff performance annually
- Identifies areas of skills and training needed and assures the formulation of suitable development programs
- Partner with Human Resources and Corner Managers on all staff relations issues
Contract Management
- Development of funded staff contracts to ensure compliance
- Effective communication with all parties to manage adherence to contractual obligations
- Facilitation of negotiation between relevant Store HR, Corner Managers and the company on all Funded Staff contractual agreements
